Banff Photography/Bonner Photography, located in the Canadian Rockies in Banff, Alberta, Canada is made up of a team: John Bonner & Andrew Dickinson. It is hard to define their photography as “just” wedding photography (or for their portrait work as just portrait work as well) because so much of their craft combines both their outstanding wedding photographs, along with the majestic natural beauty of the outdoors where they live and work. This requires a command of beautiful still life landscape work- paired with the people skills and technical know how to capture natural, elegant and beautifully framed portrait work within these marvelous settings. Being from a northern state (MN) I always especially appreciate photography like what you will find from John & Andrew- that is outside, celebrating winter and snow! Enjoy!

I’m a bit embarrassed to admit that I thought I had reviewed Simone’s lovely work years ago. I am a “Facebook friend” of hers, and noticed, once again, some of her divine images again today, and got to thinking about Blogs of Photogs. Didn’t find her in my search, so I’m sharing her with you now (blog here). Simone works out of Adelaide, Australia, and is truly a fine art photographer possessing great talent. Her work is the kind that almost every time I see it, I think: “I’d hang that in my home, and it isn’t even my kid!” Her crisp, film-reminiscent photographs have a gorgeousness that makes it appear that she is painting with light. Seshu Photography (blog here ) is based in Connecticut, New England, but Seshu travels extensively to capture lushly gorgeous wedding, engagement and portrait images that are a flawless mix of candid in-the-moment captures fused with beautifully posed images. Seshu was born in NY, but lived in India for 12 years before returning to the US. As he mentions in his bio, he straddles multiple cultures and comfortably immerses himself into their prized traditions. I know you will enjoy his work if you haven’t yet heard of Seshu. Make sure you follow him on twitter too, as he has lots to say and lots of great advice.

Megan Borders (Photography by Meg) works out of the Tri-Cities area of Kennewick, Pasco and Richland in WA. Her blog and site have a mix of beautiful candid portraits of toddlers and children, and highly styled and posed images of newborns, families and seniors. Most photographers seem to excel at one or the other, documentary style, or the gift of working with people and arranging them just right for an almost commercial look and feel; Meg seems to have talent in both these areas. I know you’ll enjoy her blog and the alluring images within.

Darling Art Photography by Rebecca Mudrick and Dena Robles is located in Chapel Hill, NC and they are also available for travel. Darling Art photographs primarily children (aka, little darlings! cute, huh?) which I love, as I’ve seen so many photographers try to cover every age group when it is not their passion, and it shows. But~Darling Art sticks to children, and their work is masterful. The black and whites on the blog {here} have that lovely luminescent quality that I love, their color work is rich and luscious, and the expressions on their little subjects just epitomize joy. Enjoy the blog, and please accept my apologies for my long delay in posting. My cousin has been critically ill in the ICU with H1N1 complications for 13 days, and I’ve had trouble with staying focused on my photography, let alone finding time for blogs of photogs. Please keep him in your prayers, it is a very scary time for our family. Be well~

Grant & Deb Perry of Virginia (Hampton Roads and surrounding area) specialize primarily in gorgeous lush wedding coverage, but their senior work, families and traditional portrait work is also superb. I really enjoyed their blog and site, which are both beautifully designed and also very informative for clients without being too wordy. Enjoy!

Bob Smith of No Traces has one of the largest online portfolio’s of amazing work that I’ve reviewed on Blogs of Photogs. Where to start… well you can go to his photoblog to view a singular image with a quote or lyrics or small writing, or read his blog to catch up on his thoughts, or view his flickr stream (my faves are in his “one’s I like” stream here…)

Bob’s passion for photography & life and his artistry and documentary style were just a wonderful place for me to get lost in. So, get a big cup of coffee and sit down and be entralled.

Way back in December of 2007, when I started this little project of mine; Blogs of Photogs, I mentioned on a few of the photography forums I frequent that I’d welcome submissions from photographers of their own blogs, or those they love. Lisa, of Lisa Maksoudian Photography sent me her link way back then, and I think I’ve gotten it no less than nine times from other photographers, so I finally finally {finally!} got over to check out her blog.

Wow… just amazing work- stunning in its clarity, posing, lighting, expression. Just amazing. How have I not experienced it yet? Lisa works out of San Luis Obispo and it appears there is no type of photography that she doesn’t excel at–I know you will enjoy her work!
