What’s not to love about Lemon Fresh Designs Photography? Couldn’t tell you… but I can tell you what I *DO* love! The lovely bright and airy quality of every image, whether taken outdoors in freezing cold Canadian winter, or many pages back in lovely fall colors, the way that she captures the beauty of each client, without resorting to overprocessing or extreme effects, the obviously apparent fun that Mary Clarke has with her career and so much more. Great info for clients on layouts/choosing sizes, and more as well.

I think my readers will heartily enjoy both Aileen’s photographic work and her words~ and how it is all wrapped up together just so for her blog. Aileen has strong, captivating talent in both her film work + her digital work, and though I hadn’t seen or heard of the acronym FIND (Film Is Not Dead, link here) before, but love to see another resurgence in great film work!  But, back to Aileen- she updates her blog frequently (something we should all do, especially yours truly!!)  she works out of the Northern Virginina, DC Metro area, doing portraits and a few weddings per year. Jenny Schartner, of Captured Photography, is based in West Palm Beach, FL, and specializes in both wedding and portrait photography with a beautiful, crisp, sunny style that makes me feel like I’m right back on my trip to Florida. She has a great blog, (here) that features extensive posts showcasing both sessions and sneak peeks, great engagement photos that really capture the relationship between couples, and to top it off- she also does videography of weddings! Jenny also has a great FAQ for photographers to cover the myriad requests for info that she gets (as do I, and many others, which reminds me I have to put my Photog-wanna-be FAQ back up on my site! Tony Hoffer is a tremendously talented photographer that works primarily around the Philadelphia, PA area. His site features a variety of the different types of work he does; kids, families, commercial, and more, but what I absolutely loved was his wedding & engagement work. I look at a lot of blogs–a lot–and it is rare for me to see a wedding photographer that just excels at everything. From capturing the small details, to really showing the depth of emotion and joy on that special day, to making every couple look their absolute best, it is all there and then some. Amazing use of posing and perfect candid shots too… I’ll stop gushing now and let you look for yourself here on his blog.

And as a PS, I had some trouble with the blog last week when I moved it to a new hosting company. I had blogged about Hoffer photography and then the post got lost, everything got screwed up and I broke my blog on the switch over.. so I rewrote it today and I apologize for the mixup. Seshu Photography (blog here ) is based in Connecticut, New England, but Seshu travels extensively to capture lushly gorgeous wedding, engagement and portrait images that are a flawless mix of candid in-the-moment captures fused with beautifully posed images. Seshu was born in NY, but lived in India for 12 years before returning to the US. As he mentions in his bio, he straddles multiple cultures and comfortably immerses himself into their prized traditions. I know you will enjoy his work if you haven’t yet heard of Seshu. Make sure you follow him on twitter too, as he has lots to say and lots of great advice.

Jodie Otte works out of the Black Horse Studio located in Northern Baltimore County, Maryland. Her blog can be found here, where you will see a beautiful sampling of her work with clients ranging in age from days old to families. Jodie is equally comfortable and skilled at using both studio lighting and natural light, and her blog also features lots of slices of life from the nature surrounding her home in the cornfields. Aside from being an accomplished and talented photographer, Jodie is also excellent at self-promotion and marketing and has a thriving workshop business and book offerings for photographers as well. I first met Jodie on a parenting forum nearly 10 years ago now, and though I don’t often get over to her blog, it was such fun to see how her kids have grown, and to find that she also keeps chickens (!) as we entered into keeping chickens ourselves this year! You’ll find lots of photographic inspiration here!

Grant & Deb Perry of Virginia (Hampton Roads and surrounding area) specialize primarily in gorgeous lush wedding coverage, but their senior work, families and traditional portrait work is also superb. I really enjoyed their blog and site, which are both beautifully designed and also very informative for clients without being too wordy. Enjoy!

Way back in December of 2007, when I started this little project of mine; Blogs of Photogs, I mentioned on a few of the photography forums I frequent that I’d welcome submissions from photographers of their own blogs, or those they love. Lisa, of Lisa Maksoudian Photography sent me her link way back then, and I think I’ve gotten it no less than nine times from other photographers, so I finally finally {finally!} got over to check out her blog.

Wow… just amazing work- stunning in its clarity, posing, lighting, expression. Just amazing. How have I not experienced it yet? Lisa works out of San Luis Obispo and it appears there is no type of photography that she doesn’t excel at–I know you will enjoy her work!

Ayesha S.’s photoblog features beautiful images of her family and her clients, but what led me to feature her lovely work was her focus and specialty of photographing Muslim weddings and brides-to-be. My hometown of Minneapolis has a growing Muslim community, (and the first Muslim congressman! Go Keith!) but I’d not thought before about the special concerns and issues that pop up while working with the devout Muslim population. I really enjoyed reading and viewing Ayesha’s words and work. Ayesha works out of the DC/Maryland/Virginia area.
