#111…Angela Crutcher

Saturday, November 22nd, 2008

Be warned: You will need to look through Angela Crutcher’s blog, finding the art in life, multiple times. First look, you’ll just enjoy the lovely images, the great connections with the children, fun posing with the newborns, gorgeous color and spot on exposure. Second look, you can wonder how all her subjects are so amazingly attractive. Third look? That is for drooling over all of the to die for clothing owned by her clients. Seriously: its is just not fair! Angela works out of Nashville Tennesee.

Enjoy!

#108…Jasmine Star

Thursday, November 6th, 2008

I’d never heard of Jasmine Star until today, when I read an email from someone (from quite a few months ago!) telling me she was one of their favorite photographers. I checked her blog out, and wow… mesmerizing and amazing. Her site and blog have the best use of a mix of video, flash programming and still photography that I’ve seen. Her site conveys both who she is and who her clients are (upscale wedding) immediately upon opening. Jasmine works out of Orange County, CA and her work is impassioned and alluring, you won’t be able to leave her site until you have really had a good hard look around. Just thoroughly enjoyed it!

#85…Chris + Lynn

Wednesday, July 30th, 2008

Another fun couple that works together as a photographer team is Chris + Lynn Jaska, out of Vancouver, BC, Canada. Their blog displays their amazing award winning work, as well as giving you a feel for what a fantastic time they seem to have working together and capturing outstanding images. Make sure you check out their “about me” page on their site, don’t you just feel their friendly vibe jump off the screen? :) Quite the accomplished photojournalists, their talents are put to great use in wedding photography in various destinations. Their style is very polished, artistic and commercial, and I know my readers will get a lot of inspiration from their site and blog!

#77…Jessica Claire

Monday, June 30th, 2008

I’m actually kind of embarrassed to admit (as a photographer myself), that I had never read Jessica Claire’s blog or visited her website prior to today. I first heard of her years ago, have seen many of her images before, on various photographers forums, and read things by her, most especially her very giving and helpful Q&A’s on the Beyond Just Images website forum (which also rocks) and I even *own* a shootsac. But somehow, I’ve never visited her site/blog. Currently, her site and blog are one, she calls it her blogsite. ;)

Anyway, I got a little lost in it this morning. (sorry kids!) The design of the site is beautiful, it would be redundant to comment upon how stunning her images are, and she is a truly a marketing genius. Her blog is the perfect mix of information geared towards both clients, and towards the thousands of photographers who blog stalk her site, looking for inspiration, actions, tips, etc etc. I also enjoyed her writing style, friendly and conversational, with bits of her personality popping up around every so often. I hope you enjoy it as well!

#67…pink sugar photography

Thursday, May 15th, 2008

Lots of things I like about pink sugar photography blog; great photography skills, intriguing post processing with lots of yummy textures and conversions, good posing and fun ideas especially for couples, and really delightful wedding images. Andrea clearly has a good time with her clients and appears to excel at making people comfortable in front of the camera. Her site(s) are really lighthearted too… love how she has it separated out between love (weddings) and life (family, kids, etc).

{Now if only she had royalty free music…seems like no one does anymore…or maybe everyone knows how to get permission for all these fab songs, except me? ;) }

ETA: No offense intended above, I’ve been informed that all her music is used with permission, so its my bad! My apologies!

#65…Fotochick (angela hubbard)

Monday, May 5th, 2008

Here is a fun blog that has a great variety from Angela’s various specialties. Great engagement shots that are fun and fresh; also genuinely enjoyed the Cuba photos… amazing. From her splash page you can view her baby work, her wedding work, and her ultra fun site that made me SO amazingly jealous: rock’n roll & celeb photography. How much FUN has she had??

#62..João Almeida

Wednesday, April 30th, 2008

João Almeida’s blog: Dar o No is in portuguese, but it really doesn’t matter, as the photos speak for themselves. They are haunting and lovely and push the limits in  many different ways. After looking at a million (ok, so I’m prone to exaggeration…) american photoblogs, its so refreshing to see something *different!*

Make sure you go back and look at more than just the first page, as he has some really amazing stuff in earlier posts as well. Quite inspiring work. Enjoy!

Prema Buck’s site and business is called “the PB style” and her style is so distinctive, the name really suits. Prema’s blog features a really engaging mix of children and teens, with a great fashion magazine flavor to it. She works in Temecula and Inland Empire, CA primarily. I’m sure you will enjoy her work!

#57…Jodi Getz

Sunday, April 20th, 2008

Our first new post on our new (and much improved!) wordpress blog. If you haven’t already, change your bookmarks from the old blogger blog to this one. I will have feedburner and subscription info updates very soon. :) Thanks for your patience.

So: onto our next photographer: Jodi Getz. Her blog features a very captivating mix of wedding and fashion photography that I’m sure you will enjoy. She seems just as comfortable doing a nice high key in studio as she does doing a gritty urban on location. Love that! Her site is here, and she serves central Alberta, CA.

Hope you enjoy!
